Village of Bolingbrook Celebrates Host 2nd Annual iFest
International Festival of Cultures Celebrates Residents and Cultures From All Over the World
(Bolingbrook) July 1, 2023 --After the success of the first iFest, the Village of Bolingbrook will host the 2nd Annual iFest 2023 Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM at The Village of Bolingbrook Festival Grounds and Performing Arts Center, 375 W. Briarcliff Rd, Bolingbrook.
The highly anticipated one-day free, family-friendly festival will highlight many countries showcasing international cuisines, handmade goods, merchandising, fun and educational activities, and booths. For one day, the village will provide a platform for entertainers and exhibitors, 30 vendors, and 12 food vendors, to participate in the annual event to display and celebrate their culture. Residents from Bolingbrook and surrounding cities are encouraged to patronize and actively engage in positive cultural experiences. With performances beginning at 11:40 AM, returning highlights include a trackless train, Maxwell Street Klezmer Quintet, and an international-focused kids’ zone.
The diverse community includes the Mayor who is Egyptian and one of the largest African communities outside of Chicago. Last year, the fest attracted over 5,000 guests throughout the day. This year the village anticipates over 7,000.

First developed in the 1960s, the village experienced rapid growth in the 1980s and ’90s and today continues to attract residents worldwide; it is now rated as Chicago's third most diverse suburb. Bolingbrook prides itself on its “door-to-door” diversity, providing a place to live, work, and play for all. According to newly-released rankings, the suburb of around 75,000 residents came in at 48th out of 1,900 communities considered in Fortune's list of “50 Best Places to Live for Families” in the U.S.
