25th Annual Toy Drive Presented by 100 Black Men of Chicago Inc., to Benefit Chicagoland Area Children at Soldier Field’s United Club

CHICAGO, Nov. 29, 2023 – 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc., announce their 25th Annual Toy Drive and Holiday Party on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 6pm to 11pm at the United Club located at Soldier Field – home of the Chicago Bears - 1410 Special Olympics Dr. 1st Floor, Chicago, IL 60605. Advanced registration required via https://100bmc.org/. No tickets sold at door. General admission with a toy is $20.00; without a toy is $40.
Over the twenty-five years since its inception the 100 BMC toy drive has attracted tens of thousands to its annual event that kicks off the “season of giving” benefiting area children most in need, with last year’s event attracting over two thousand attendees. Funds raised to support this act of community kindness are used to purchase additional gifts and personal necessities for women and children in homeless shelters, community outreach organizations, and health centers such as, Woodlawn East & Community Neighbor, Clara’s House, Grand Families, PLCCA, Lighthouse Youth Center, La Rabida Hospital, Near North Health Service Corporation, Pacific Garden Mission, Ronald McDonald Children House, South Suburban PADS, and Windows of Opportunity.
Emmy award-winning journalist and ABC 7 anchor Samantha Chatman will be the host of this year’s marquee event, with live entertainment by Chicago Idol winner Maurice Mahon and his band, with special guest, acclaimed singer/songwriter, philanthropist, and six-time Emmy-nominated journalist, and NBC 5 anchor Evrod Cassimy. Plus, an old-school vs. new-school battle of the DJs that will keep participants dancing all night.

The 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc, who will celebrate their 30-year anniversary in 2024, is a premier youth volunteer charitable organization that work tirelessly to make a difference in the community. The work of the 100 BMC includes their year-round mentoring, Mentoring the 100way®, annual College Scholarship Fair (CSF) held at the University of Illinois Chicago Campus, that has resulted in over $60 million in student scholarships to date. The 100 BMC also produce a series of health and wellness seminars and economic development events and have also focused its efforts to reduce youth violence through programs and partnerships that strengthen communities and promote restorative peace-making by supporting families and youth who have experienced loss due to violence.
