Black McDonald’s Operators Association Gives Away 2,000 Turkeys and Meal Packs

CHICAGO — The Black McDonald’s Operators Association (BMOA) continued its pre-Thanksgiving tradition of giving back to families in need and supporting veterans through the annual Food for the Body & Spirit giveaway.

At four Black-owned McDonald’s locations in Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana between Nov. 9-12, members of the Black McDonald’s Operators Association,
along with various dignitaries, elected officials, and volunteers, distributed 2,000 turkeys and sides including sweet potatoes, rolls, and sweet baked goods courtesy of Bimbo Bakeries USA.

This year, Food for the Body & Spirit celebrated its 22nd year of serving the community during the holiday season. Local radio stations were also on hand to bring joy and music as part of the annual initiative.

Food for the Body & Spirit meal packages were free and available to all on a first come, first serve basis. A t each location, upon showing proof of military
service, veterans received VIP treatment, with a dedicated line for them to receive expedited service. Hats and gloves were also distributed at each of the locations while supplies lasted.

Food for the Body & Spirit is part of the BMOA’s ongoing efforts to help build stronger ties in the community, empower minds, and build leaders.
