Black Men United Donations for Lindop School Families Praised
in western Cook County are offering praise to Black Men United
for a community give away event last weekend that donated free
toiletries, household appliances, furniture, and other items to the
district’s students and families.
Black Men United, a national community service organization
that focuses on the restoration and rebuilding of Black communities across America, organized the event in suburban Broadview on Saturday, Oct. 22, and drew more than 100 families who received the free household and personal items, including Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas.

Black Men United organization and their local supporters to help
the lighten the financial burden of some of the students of andf amilies of Broadview,” said Superintendent Dr. Janiece Jackson.
