 RELATED MIDWEST ANNOUNCES CHICAGO BASED, VETERAN-RUN VETERAN ROASTERS SELECTED AS COMPANY-WIDE COFFEE PROVIDER

Related Midwest has announced that Veteran Roasters has been selected as the company’s in-office coffee provider, and will also feature the Chicago- based coffee roasters coffee on-site daily at construction
projects. In celebration of this partnership, Related Midwest hosted an event at the 900 Randolph job site on June 30 to provide free coffee for hundreds of tradespeople and highlight the U.S. Veterans who make Veteran Roasters so special.

Veteran Roasters, founded in 2017, is a veteran- owned and -staffed coffee brand that sources, roasts and distributes its own coffee beans, cold brew and other coffee products from its Chicago-area roastery and warehouse. Veteran Roasters trains its new employees through the production process, finding that many service members’ mechanical aptitude is welcome and needed on the production line. Many tradespeople are also veterans, finding their duty-tested skills well suited to construction and development work.

Both Veteran Roasters and its sister company, Rags of Honor, provide veterans with continuing education and housing support as needed, while paying employees a living wage. Rags of Honor is a veteran-staffed Chicago-based screen printing company dedicated, like Veteran
Roasters, to the mission of providing employment and services to returning vets. Rags of Honor is the exclusive supplier of safety vests, T-shirts, jackets, vests and other construction and branded gear for both Related Midwest and LR Contracting.

Related Midwest will pour Veteran Roasters Coffee daily at each of its Chicago-area job sites. To kick off this partnership, Veteran Roasters will be onsite at the 900 Randolph construction site (164 N. Peoria) on June 30 to provide free fresh coffee and promote the company’s mission—
to provide high-paying jobs and supportive services to returning veterans.
