(Matteson, IL) Sheila Chalmers-Currin- Village President of Matteson, Illinois – and the Village Board of Trustees will be joined by regional elected officials, community leaders and other local elected officials as the Village of Matteson will participate in a groundbreaking ceremony announcing the development of a Mega Warehouse and Distribution Center.
Matteson 57 Commerce Center is a new economic development project that is set to be utilized as a warehouse and distribution facility. The Commerce Center is anticipated to operate as a traditional bulk distribution warehouse. With the anticipated arrival of seven new logistical tenants, the Matteson 57 Commerce Center will be home to hundreds of jobs for local and regional residents.
It has been well documented that President Chalmers-Currin's vision for Matteson includes the benefit of Matteson residents not having to travel out of the immediate region to seek employment.
"With the development of countless new businesses in Matteson, we want our residents to explore Matteson for numerous job openings right here in the heart of Matteson, says Mayor Sheila Chalmers- Currin."
The new development comes as another addition to one of many great projects Matteson has been fortunate to lure into the 22,000-resident community. The Matteson 57 Commerce facility will feature a 40' clear ceiling height, 100 exterior loading docks(expandable), 380 car parking stalls, and 210 trailer parking stalls. The Commerce Center will Incorporate architectural lighting, fenestrated wall panels, smart coloring, and prominent glass office corners that will mirror the latest in modern design trends.
The commerce building is an excellent replacement for the vacant soybean landfill. Crow Holdings Industrial (CHI) is the national developer overseeing the new structure's development.
"We are incredibly thankful to partner with CHI and are grateful that they chose the Village of Matteson for the development of this project. We see great promise in their work and look forward to a wonderful working relationship," says Mayor Sheila Chalmers- Currin.
As a stable, well-capitalized, and trusted partner, CHI will build a Class A warehouse that strengthens and solidifies the Village of Matteson as a community of progress and diversity.
