Program in Calumet City

Gold-Star Award Winning Mentoring Program invites families to the Calumet City Launch and to learn how to enroll their Boys and Young Men into CHAMPS Mentoring.

On Tuesday, May, 3rd, 2022, CHAMPS Male Mentoring, a mentoring program focused on education, empowerment and exposure for young African American and Latino men in Chicago, will host an Orientation to share about Social Emotional Learning Curriculum, Exposure opportunities, and Leadership Development at the Calumet City Public Library.  The goal is to engage families and share that we believe it is important to engage with schools and the community to engage in wrap around support.

CHAMPS Founder & CEO, Vondale Singleton states, “We have been in conversations with city stakeholders for months and I am excited to make a greater impact on Boys and Young Men of Color in Calumet City and the surrounding areas.  It is important that we get ahead of the summer and establish authentic relationships that can support their dreams and goals.  We provide culturally relevant conversations, experiences that are manifested in positive outcomes for our youth.
