Diversity Learning Solutions (DLS) will host its inaugural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Industry Design Thinking Summit on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The summit will feature a stellar line-up of executives and business leaders who will share their insights on best practices and engage in bold thinking on how to disrupt the status quo to drive cultural change to accelerate the work of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and community.
This virtual summit was created to educate and enable chief human resource officers, chief diversity officers and business leaders to adopt a critical thinking process to move DEI goals forward in a company, business, or municipality. Attendees will be introduced to an expanded set of tools for analyzing, realigning, and executing DEI strategies to meet the challenges of today and the future. Attendees will connect with their peers from four industries and municipalities as they explore the latest diversity trends and best practices and work with industry experts and executive coaches to execute design thinking in developing and delivering DEI strategies.
Thought leaders and industry executives have been tapped to lead critical discussions on DEI strategies from industries including manufacturing, healthcare, financial services, and municipalities nationwide. Some participating companies include Principal Financial Group, PNC Financial Services Group, Citi, Froedtert Health & Medical Center, Blue Cross Blue Shield, MA, Bank of America, Common Spirit Health, McCormick & Co. Participating municipalities include City of Chicago, City of Atlanta, City of Philadelphia, and City of Los Angeles, and City of New York. Several noted thought leaders and authors on DEI issues and trends will lend their expertise and experience to lead key discussions including George Halvorson, 8-time author & Retired CEO Kaiser Permanente, Ed Kopko, Author & CEO Bold Business, Pam McElvane, Author & CEO Diversity Learning Solutions, Best Selling Authors Keith Wyche and Cynthia Hardy.
Participants will gain knowledge of how to leverage design thinking to accelerate results and to determine effectiveness. Attendees will also gain a deeper understanding of how to leverage their problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities to influence others and determine the best route for taking their company, business, or municipality to the next level with visible results and data.
“We have gone the extra mile to make this executive virtual classroom an all-inclusive experience that encourages diversity executives and people managers to challenge their thinking and become impactful leaders in executing DEI initiatives for their company’s business and/or municipality strategy,” said Pamela McElvane, chief executive officer of Diversity Learning Solutions and author of The SkiNy on Diversity Recruiting – The Best Practice Guide to Current Trends on Recruitment Strategies.
