Church gives free Christmas gifts to Lynwood school
On Saturday, December 7, 2019, Arrow Church is hosting a Christmas Store for the families of Sandridge Elementary School.
The event will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m in the gymnasium at Sandridge Elementary School, 2950 Glenwood Dyer Rd. in Chicago Heights.
Registration is required and parents will be able to select free, new gifts for their students and receive gift wrapping paper for their selected items.
“Though our church has only been in existence for six years, and in Lynwood for three of those years, our commitment to this village can be expressed in just two words: “For Lynwood,” said Eric Hampton, pastor of Arrow Church.
“Our servitude is intentionally designed to support the families of Lynwood and the students of Sandridge Elementary School.”
The Christmas Store is a new outreach from Arrow Church, and its intent is to help relieve the burden of families during this holiday season. “We believe it is better to give than receive, and our goal is to add a little more Christmas joy to every family who chooses to participate. And not to take away from the dignity of the adult, we do not select the gift for their student, instead, the parent chooses from a variety of gifts that they believe best suits their student,” said Pastor Hampton. “We have adopted Sandridge and will continue to support its administrators and teachers as they develop the next generation of leaders.”
