Musical Showcase Features Curated Music Videos, Playlists and More From Partners Including Xite, Pandora, iHeartRadio, and YouTube
This June, Comcast will celebrate Black Music Month with a one-of-a kind musical showcase on Xfinity X1 spanning genres of music pioneered by African Americans including hip hop, R&B, pop, gospel, and jazz. Available within Xfinity on Demand’s Black Film and TV destination, “A New Era of Sound” features curated music videos, playlists and more from top artists of today with nods to yesterday via X1’s music partners including XITE, Pandora, iHeartRadio, YouTube, and more.
To access “A New Era of Sound,” X1 customers can simply say “Black Film and TV” into their X1 voice remote.
“For decades, Black musicians have used their music to paint vivid pictures of their life experiences, shed light on social issues, honor monumental cultural moments, embrace cultural heritage, and bring the community together,” said Keesha Boyd, Executive Director of Multicultural Consumer Services for Comcast. “Xfinity X1 customers now have seamless access to more music on TV than ever before, and we are excited to create an unparalleled showcase that honors the rich and influential music legacy of Black musicians across all genres.”
Within the new collection of content, customers can:
