Dolton West School District 148 was well represented at the Annual Regional Conference “Transforming the Paradigm of Educating Children” in Tinley Park.

Administrators and School Board representatives on hand included Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kevin J. Nohelty, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Patricia Moore, Director of Research and Innovation John Donermeyer, School Board Secretary Kim Adkins and Board Member Charles Lloyd. Topics addressed during the workshops included student behaviors, close reading strategies, virtual reality tools in education, building phonics skills for reading and writing, effective classroom management and preparing students for college and career success.
“The talent and reputation we have in our school community was obvious throughout this conference. It gives us great pride to be able to share with others the expertise of our remarkable staff. We are delighted our parents also had the opportunity to attend. This is an invigorating and fulfilling experience that we enjoy every year,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kevin J. Nohelty.
District 148 has six elementary schools, three junior high schools and one early childhood center. The District serves approximately 2,275 students and their families in sections of Dolton, Riverdale, Harvey and South Holland.
