Ford Freedom Honoring Unsung Heroes In THe African American Community In every community there are individuals who go above and beyond to positively impact countless lives. Their stories deserve recognition. Ford Freedom Unsung celebrates these extraordinary individuals within communities across the country whose achievements may otherwise go unacknowledged.
Made possible by a grant from Ford Motor Company Fund, Ford Freedom Unsung salutes and honors those who have positively impacted communities and whose achievements serve to
enlighten and inspire others.
Honorees are selected based on outstanding accomplishments including unique and valiant acts that positively impact lives in their immediate or widespread community. Their actions affect many and impart triumphant outcomes.

In honor of the outstanding achievements of Unsung Heroes in the African American community, Ford Motor Company is launching a search for Unsung Heroes in the Chicago area.
Ford Freedom Unsung will honor and celebrate local individuals who go above and beyond to support their community and impact lives. Honorees are selected based on their outstanding achievements to serve, uplift and inspire others.
Honorees will be recognized at a special event and program held on November 15, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois.
All nominations must be submitted online to https://fgb.life no later than October 24, 2018 in order to be considered by the Board of Judges. Recipients will be notified in early November.
To enter: Nominations can be submitted via https://fgb.life Information needed to submit online:
• Name, address and telephone number for both your nominee and yourself as the nominator.
• A brief compelling summary describing what distinguishes your nominee as an individual, including information that highlights how the nominee’s actions benefit the lives of others.
• Recipients must be present at the program on November 15, 2018. All rights to winning submissions are property of Ford Motor Company Fund.
