Rewards Offered For Missing Woman Last Seen In the Chatham Area

Kierra Coles, of Chicago who was last seen on Oct. 2 in the Chatham area on 82nd Street and Coles Ave. is still missing but authorities hope the offer of two rewards will bring her back home.

Information from the Chicago Police Department describes the 26-year-old female as being 5-foot-4, 125 pounds, and having black hair, brown eyes, and a medium brown complexion.

“Based on the length of time of Kierra Coles disappearance and the fact that she has fallen off the grid, police suspect possible foul play. We continue to get leads and are following up diligently on those leads,” the Chicago Police Department said in an official statement.

Prior to her disappearance, Coles worked for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier. Although she was not on duty during the time of her disappearance, the United States Postal Inspection Service is assisting in the investigation and offering an award of up to $25,000 for information that will help them find Coles.

“I can confirm that the Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to her whereabouts,” said Julie Kenney, public information representative for the United States Postal Inspection Service out of the Chicago division. “She was not on duty at the time of her disappearance and the Chicago Police department is the lead on this investigation but we are assisting with their investigation.”

“One of the highest priorities we have as postal inspectors is protecting postal employees and the post office. When an office is robbed or a member of our postal family is attacked, we take it seriously. We investigate all leads until we capture the offender,” said

Guy Cotrell, the chief postal inspector for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. The National Association of Letter Carriers is also offering a $3,500 reward for information

leading to the discovery of Coles’ whereabouts.
