The Good Life Global Tour Comes To Chicago
BY KATHERINE NEWMAN
Recently, The Good Life Tour stopped in Chicago at the Supreme Life Building, 3501 S. King Dr., to host an inspirational and informative business and marriage boot camp that teaches men and women how to prepare for life, marriage and business.
Chicago’s own Quendole Johnson, a well-known radio personality and consultant in the Hyde Park Area, is a global brand ambassador for The Good Life Tour and will be speaking on a panel at the event.
The Good Life Tour was created by Joan Wright-Good and her husband Dean H. Good. The couple puts on a tour every year to inspire entrepreneurs but this year they have added a new element that makes it unique compared to past tours.
The Good couple wanted to inspire entrepreneurs and veteran entrepreneurs, said Johnson. “They also wanted to focus on relationships and life which is a twist to this tour and makes it a little bit different,” she added.
During the event, Johnson will participate in a panel discussion focusing on relationships and the panel will feature the voices of a divorcee, a single woman, a married woman, clinical professionals, Wright-Good, and her husband.
“On the panel, we are going to go really deep into the relationship sector and then Joan and Dean will actually teach the business side of it,” said Johnson. “It is really important to me for millennials to learn how to do good business, proper business, and to teach them how to be in life in general when it comes to professional and personal relationships.”
This is an opportunity for the entire city to learn about how to have a successful business and healthy relationships, but it is extremely useful for residents in the Hyde Park and Bronzeville area where there has been a major influx of economic development and business opportunities over the last few years.
“The rebuild or build up of Hyde Park is so freaking awesome and I don’t think Downtown Hyde Park has ever looked better. We are bringing in new businesses, attracting new people, and that means more jobs. It’s like going downtown without the hassle and you can dine, go to the theater, go shopping, it’s like a miniature Magnificent Mile to me now,” said Johnson.
All attendees are encouraged to bring a pen and paper so they can take notes and at the end of each tour stop, Wright-Good will be selecting a few prize winners.
“For each tour stop, Joan is selecting an attendee to win a publishing contract under her publishing company and a lucky entrepreneur who is passionate about their brand and business will receive a small capital check to jump-start their business,” said Johnson.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 28 and tickets are on sale now for $75. For more information and to purchase tickets, visitwww.eventbee.com/v/goodlifeglobalflorida
