Management Consultant Spills briefly Her Secrets in a new Book

BOSTON, MA--For nearly a decade, management consultant Christie Lindor has taken countless meetings and coffee dates with mentees as she advises them on how to quickly climb the ladder

and achieve their career goals in the notoriously unapproachable consulting industry. She’s proud to announce the launch of The MECE Muse: 100+ selected practices, unwritten rules, and habits of great consultants (SDP Publishing, January 2018), the first book that touches on the emotional intelligence

required for success in management consulting--not just its technical aspects.

“I decided to write this book after spending countless hours mentoring early career consultants,” says Lindor. “As a first-generation Haitian-American and college graduate, I entered the consulting

world without many of the tools and resources my peers had--and quickly realized being smart and ambitious wasn’t enough to climb the ladder. I hope to act as the mentor I wish I had to aspiring

or early career consultants who don’t necessarily have connections or an Ivy League background but who are smart, willing to work hard and are genuinely good people focused on solving client

problems.”

Lindor is one of the first African American women to write a book on the management consulting industry. She wrote her book for aspiring or new consultants in the first five years of their career who currently don’t have mentors or sponsors to share an informed perspective with them. Aside from her

own perspectives, Lindor connected with more than 50 consulting partners and leaders representing 27 consulting firms, including thought leadership from 80% of the top 10 consulting firms worldwide.
