FORD HEIGHTS BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB GETS HELP WITH NEW EQUIPMENT
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. – The Mainstreet Organization
of REALTORS® (MORe) and Preferred Communication
Systems are gave back to the community during holiday
season with the gift of ten computers, a printer and two
backup systems to the Ford Heights Boys and Girls Club.
As part of a National Association of REALTORS® (NAR)
initiative to support Boys and Girls Clubs nationwide,
MORe gave the equipment to allow students visiting the
club to work on homework and develop computer skills that
enhance their overall education.
“The Boys and Girls Club plays a key role in positively
affecting communities, reaching four million children per
year in 4,100 clubs across the country. REALTORS® are trusted and supportive
members of these communities and it's important to show our
appreciation for that support,” said Pam Krieter, CEO of
MORe.MORe collaborated
with longtime IT partner
Preferred Communication
Systems to secure the
donations. Preferred then
volunteered the labor and
services to install the systems.
Preferred has been an integral
advisor to MORe over the
years and Krieter credits Vince
Arden, CEO of Preferred, with
keeping the organization on
the forefront of technology
trends.
Boys & Girls Clubs offer
the most comprehensive
and well-rounded lineup
of structured and tested
programs of any other after
school program for young
people ages 6-18. Homework
help and education support
is a key initiative of the
organization.
“We are delighted to
give back to one of our
communities with a much
needed resource,” said
Catherine Terpstra, president
of the MORe board of
directors. "REALTORS® are
out in the community every
day and we know supporting
education for young people is
how we make our communities
stronger."
