Essence celebrated a new class of innovators, creators and risk takers at its Future 15 event.
During the invitation-only celebration, Essence spotlighted fifteen Black millennial disruptors who are creating a new definition for success from across a variety of genres including entertainment, fashion, tech, music, travel and more. Honorees in attendance included: Swivel founders Jihan Thompson and Jennifer Lambert; The Shade Room founder Angie Nwandu; artist Laolu Senbanjo, influencer Tanyka Renee Henry; actress Logan Browning (star of the Netflix hit series, Dear White People); and celeb stylist Ade Samuel.
