Chicago, IL – The Construction Industry Conference

(CIC), the most comprehensive conference for small

and mid-sized construction and professional services

businesses has tapped Kenneth Osmun, Group President

The 4th annual conference line up also includes

many subject area experts that will speak during the

conference’s workshops and panels.

“The majority of small and mid-sized construction

company owners start their business because they are

good tradesman, but, in many instances, have had limited

or no access to information and know-how on what it

takes to run a construction business. The conference will

help bridge the information gap and deliver valuable

resources to these businesses,” says CIC founder Suzanne

Stantley.

“Every construction business must be on top of OSHA

requirements if they want to operate”, Stantley said.

“In August of this year, OSHA had major changes that

can significantly impact these businesses, which is why

we have added three OSHA workshops to this year’s

conference”.

Key panels and workshops this year include: “Safety

Oversight and Competent Person Requirements for

Construction” (with speakers Gilbert Velez and Atty.

Robert Shipley); “Five Ways to Get Your First Federal

Government Contract” (with speakers Richard Hernandez

and GSA’s, Michael Wol„); “OSHA Recordkeeping”

(with speaker William Coulehan); “The Value of Safety,

EPA, HR, & Occupational Medicine for the Construction

Industry“, “Strategic Partnering….How to Work with Primes

and Project Owners” and “Why You Need to Develop a

Strategy to Prepare Your Business To Secure Financing”
