Seniors Got Talent is now accepting entries for its 2016 competition
Seniors and their families have begun sending the Seniors Guide videos of their special talents— everything from dance performances and comedy acts to less traditional talents like woodworking and crafts— for the publication’s annual competition, Seniors Got Talent. Open to anyone age 55 and over, the talent contest awards the senior(s) whose video receives the most votes $1,000, with second and third places receiving $500 and $250.
“The videos we’ve seen over the years have been impressive and extremely entertaining,” says Katharine Ross, vice president of Seniors Guide magazine. “These seniors prove that age really is just a number!”
The digital talent contest, which has been held since 2011, draws acts from seniors living in retirement communities as well as from senior centers and home care agencies throughout the U.S. Video entries are posted on http://www. seniorsguideonline.com, where supporters can place one vote per day for their favorite videos (with a valid email address).
Voting ends December 31 and the winners are announced in January. Visit http://www. seniorsguideonline.com/ seniors-got-talent-contest rules- regulations for contest rules.
