Career Service Company hosts Sales & Marketing Job Fair

By Monique Smith

HireLive is a career service company that specializes in Sales, Retail and Management Career Fairs and for more than 10 years, the company has been organizing job fairs across the country. For more than a decade, HireLive has been connecting job seekers with industry leading companies that are currently hiring. On August 16, 2016, HireLive is hosting a career recruitment event at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Lombard, Illinois from 9:00an-12:00pm. Parking is free.

Job fairs often get mixed reviews when attendees don’t feel they’ve gotten the most out of the fair, for example, if the attendee gets no job or at the very least an interview.

According to the contributing experts on Monster.com, job fairs are not a waste of time if you know how to work them. The site suggests that most of the work is done before you even go through the doors.

Monster advises you call the organizers and get a list of companies participating in the job fair, make a hit list of the top five or 10 companies attending that you’d like to work for, go online or to the library and research those companies and find out as much about them as possible such as what the company’s strategy for growth and how can you fit into that plan for growth?

HireLive, like most career fair organizers, lists all of the companies that are going to be present so the next step should be to target the companies you’d like to work for, call those companies and find out who is attending the job fair and get the person’s name, title, address and, if possible, phone number.

The next thing to do is write a cover letter to the person who will be attending and acting as the recruiter for the hiring company. Slip the letter, your resume and your business card into a letter-sized envelope. Address the envelope with the person’s name, title and address and include your return address. But instead of mailing this letter, take it with you to the job fair.

HireLive organizers say, “This is your opportunity to interview face to face with 15+ Fortune 500 and Industry Leading companies seeking talented, experienced and enthusiastic sales, retail and management candidates. Bring 10-15 Resumes and dress business professional.”

Many of the companies that will be present at the August 16th job fair are offering a multitude of benefits like flexible work schedules, base and commission salary structures, company cars or gas allowances, health benefits and 401k stock options. The companies that will be participating in the job fair are hiring for the following positions: Inside Sales Reps, Outside Sales Reps, Account Executives, Retail Managers, Account Managers, Insurance Sales, Customer Service, Technical Sales, Sales Managers, Pharmaceutical Sales, Telesales, Sales Trainer, Merchandiser, Mortgage Brokers, Financial Planner, Route Sales, Retail Sales, Retail Management, and Human Resources.

HireLive urges attendees to email their resumes in advance to 12375-21-mh2006@ apply.maxhire.net. For more information visit www.HireLive. com
