Andre Walker, personal stylist to Oprah Winfrey is launching his own natural hair care line. This is a shock to many in the hair and fashion industry however. Walker had been previously criticized in 2011 for condemning the natural hair look (usually worn by African American women) saying that "kinky" hair is the only grade of hair that should ALWAYS be managed with a relaxer or straightener.

But now the stylist to the stars is pushing his branded line of relaxers and texturizers, sulfate-free shampoo, conditioner and straightening creme. To the contrary of what Walker had been previously preaching, these products encourage the "kinky" hair-do.

"I wanted products that are appropriate for all hair textures, all ethnicities. Everyone can use my keratin shampoo and conditioner and my hair oil. As the line expands, I'll also develop formulas that target specific needs, like volumizing," Walker said when recently interviewed about his hair products. Hail to the "natural-ista!
