Gun Turn- In Locations
The City of Chicago, the Chicago Police Department, CAPS, and faith- and community-based organizations will host a citywide Gun TurnIn (GTI) event on Saturday, June 23, 2012, as part of its ongoing efforts to get guns off the streets of Chicago.
The streets of Chicago belong to its residents and we are working every day to get guns, drugs and gangs off the streets, said Mayor Emanuel. Working with the faith-based community, CAPS, Police and our media partners to engage the community; we can reduce the number of guns on our streets.
The citywide Gun Turn-In will be held on June 23 at 23 churches throughout Chicago. Between 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m., anyone can exchange a firearm, no questions asked, for a $100.00 MasterCard gift card. In addition, replica and BB-guns may be turned in for a $10.00 MasterCard gift card.
