Jackson Park Hospital to host black tie gala

On Saturday June 4, Jackson Park Hospital (JPH) will hold its thirty-second annual Gala Dinner and Dance at the Hyatt Regency Chicago Hotel. The celebration will honor attorney James M. Bream, Esq. of Querrey & Harrow Ltd and accountant Gary A Rudenburg of Warady and Davis LLP for being long-standing contributors and supporters of the hospital. This event is JPHs biggest fundraising event of the year.
Proceeds go to School Based Health Center at South Shore High school, JPH vice president of development, Margo Brooks said.
Other honorees will include Dr. Sameera T. Qureshi of the Family Medicine department, who is being honored as physician of the year and Mrs. Vivian L. Hardy, Employee of the Year.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will also to go to the school based Community Health Education program. This program offers free screenings for blood pressure and diabetes.
The tickets for this black tie (optional) event are $300. Ticket prices include a dinner of fish and filet mignon and entertainment by the orchestra, The Gentlemen of Leisure, also known as The Gents, whose song list is diverse and includes everything from classic Jackson 5 songs to modern R&B.
Jackson Park hospital is 326 bed acute, short term care facility located on the citys south east side on 75th and Stony Island. JPHs service to the community goes back as far as World War 1 when it provided care to returning wounded veterans. The hospital offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic and ancillary services with a commitment to medical education at all levels; according to their website.
