Antwoyne Miller
Occupation: Neighborhood Caretaker
Why does he stand out?
The East Auburn Block Club in Chicagos Chatham neighborhood is thankful for their neighbor, Antwoyne Miller. Originally a native of St. Louis, MO, Miller moved to the area 12 years ago. He says there was a block club in his childhood community; as a result, the importance of neighborhood upkeep was instilled in him and in his siblings very early. Miller became involved with the East Auburn Block Club about three years ago and was also president of the organization at one time. In addition to his community upkeep duties, Miller walks through the neighborhood with his dog, Cuba; to keep a watchful eye on the neighborhood. The block club calls Miller a Godsend to the community. In a statement, the block club said that Miller, satisfies the threatening challenge of helping to keep our neighborhood presentable which creates a feeling of pride that we as residents enjoy.
