Legal Questions Answered On Law Day
In 1958, President Dwight D. Eisenhower established Law Day and in 1961, Congress issued a joint resolution designating May 1 as the official day for the celebration.
Recognized as an opportunity to highlight civic education, many civics groups and bar associations celebrate with month-long programs, presentations and events leading up to and extending throughout the month of May.
To help celebrate the occasion, the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) will give members of the public a chance to ask lawyers questions on a wide variety of legal topics on April 27 during Law Day Live, a live webcast on Ustream. The program is being presented by the Television Committee of the CBA as part of its annual Law Week celebration.During the program, a panel of attorneys from the CBA will answer questions about:
Mortgage Foreclosure from 5:30 PM 6 PM
Divorce from 6:00 PM 6:30 PM
Criminal Law from 6:30 PM 7 PM
Unmarried Parents from 7:00 PM 7:30 PM
Estate Planning from 7:30 PM 8 PM
Personal Injury from 8:00 PM 8:30 PM
