Funeral Services to be Held for Morgan D. Carter The Worlds Conversation Starter
Morgan D. Carter The WorldsConversation Starter DiedSunday, November 16th. He wasreleased last Friday from IngallsHospital after being treated forchest pains.
A viewing will be held onFriday, November 21 at theRobey Park Manor FuneralHome, 2510 Chicago Road inChicago Heights from 10 a.m. to7 p.m.
The wake for Carter will be heldon Saturday, November 22 at theHouse of Prayer Church, 3535W. Roosevelt Rd with a viewingat 10 a.m. The funeral will immediatelyfollow at 11 a.m. The burialwill be held after the funeralat Mt. Hope Cemetery, 11500 S.Fairfield.
Carter was a motivationalspeaker; radio/TV/Internet host;producer; voiceover professional;and spokesman. He wasknown as The WorldsConversation Starter becausehe is a Black talk radio and TVhost having had shows onWVON-AM; WGCI-FM, V103-FM, WSSD-FM, WBEE-AM.WGCR Web Satellite Radio,WCFJ-1470AM and WBGX1570AM.
During his tenure, Morgan alsohosted many other radio andcable TV programs including theChicago Media Connection onchannel 19 and special features.He helped to assemble the firstall black male audience for thePhil Donahue Show in the late70s. Mr. Carter was a part of atelevision marketing team whichplaced positive images ofAfrican Americans, Hispanics,Natives, and Asian Americansthroughout the nation on TV andcable networks serving over 20million households. MorganCarter has received a number ofhonors and citations including anomination in Whos & Who inAmerica.
He was frequently sought afteras a Motivational Speaker,Professional and PersonalDevelopment Facilitator also anda Humorous Master ofCeremonies. The WorldsConversation Starter served as aMedia Counsel for the Chicago Local Organizing Committee ofthe Million Man March and sincehe performed in that capacitybeginning in September of 1995,he has handled over 550inquiries, interviews and debatesregarding the October 16, 1995Million Man March. MorganCarter has provided Media,Public, Political and Governmentrelations counsel and assistanceto many entrepreneurs, newspersonalities, entertainment,professional athletes, local,national, international, politicians,and statesmen through avariety of network services andvenues including channelStraight Talk Program.
